Telehealth Services

Slightly less than half of our state’s population live in areas without easy access to mental health services.  On top of that, we understand our client’s time is precious and sometimes driving back and forth to the office, in addition to everything else in life, is time you just don’t have.

To help with this problem, our practice offers secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services. Utilizing the trusted Doxy.me platform, you can connect with your psychologist in real-time from the comfort, privacy, and convenience of your own home, office, or anywhere else you feel safe. Telehealth eliminates commute times, reduces the need for childcare or time off work, and ensures you receive consistent care regardless of weather or transportation challenges.

Connecting is simple and requires no special software downloads—you just click a personalized link from your smartphone, tablet, or computer that is sent to you via our doctors at the time of your appointment.  The link will take you to the doctor’s private online waiting room and from there you will be pulled “into session” with them.

In addition, Dr. Yarbrough is PsyPact licensed, which means she can see clients outside the state of Alabama, as long as they are located in one of the 40+ PsyPact participating states.  Please see Psypact.gov to find out if your state is participating.

Please note that while telehealth is a wonderful option for ongoing care, specific insurance regulations apply. In compliance with these guidelines, patients utilizing Medicare must be seen in our physical office for their first visit.
